Xiaomi Mi Max 2 goes on sale in India, Jio users to get extra 30GB of 4G data on Rs 309 recharge

Xiaomi recently launched the Mi Max successor - Mi Max 2 in India. The smartphone was announced at a price tag of Rs 16,999. Soon after the launch, the smartphone was up on sale on online stores, but, went out of stock in no time. So, for people who are interested to buy the Mi Max 2, there's another chance for you. Xiaomi Mi Max 2 goes on sale, for the third time in India.
The smartphone is available for buying across all major e-commerce sites including - Mi.com, Amazon, Paytm Mall, Tata Cliq. In India, Xiaomi announced the 64GB storage variant. However, initially the Chinese smartphone maker unveiled the phone in two variants - 64GB and 128GB. But, considering the Indian consumers usually go for the cheaper variant, the company planned to bring the lower edition of the phone to the Indian shores. The black colour variant of the Mi Max 2 is available on sale today.
Usually when a recently launched phone goes on sale, companies offer exciting offers, but there are no such offers or deals available for the consumers on buying Mi Max 2, apart from one. We know that Xiaomi has also tied up with Jio. Under the partnership, customers who own a Jio SIM card will get 30GB of additional 4G data on Reliance Jio. Further, Mi Max 2 users will also be able to avail an extra 30GB of 4G data on recharge of Rs 309 and above. There are no other offers available.
As it happens with Xioami phones usually, that they go out of stock in no time, it seems the Mi Max 2 will be available in limited quantities.

In terms of specifications, the handset - Xiaomi Mi Max 2 features an all-metal unibody with a fingerprint sensor placed at the rear panel. The Mi Max 2 comes with a screen size of -- 6.44 inch 1080p display. The Mi Max 2 comes with Gorilla Glass 3. The phone is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 625 processor and is further coupled with 4GB of RAM.
The new Mi Max 2 also comes with smaller bezels, when compared to its predecessor -- Mi Max. The phone comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, an IR blaster and stereo speakers. On the storage front, the Mi Max 2 was initially launched in two variants - 64GB and 128GB. However, Xiaomi decided to bring only the 64GB version of the phone to India. Further, the phone runs on Xiaomi's own MIUI software on top of Android Nougat, which is similar to many custom software interface that Chinese phone use.
The phone's key USP is the massive 5300 mAh battery which backs it. The company claims that the phone will at least two-day use with single recharge.
