Vodafone creates special plan for students, offers 84GB data for Rs 352

The data war spurred by Jio is still on and every telecom company is keeping its nose to the grindstone to match the competitive prices set by Jio. Vodafone which us one of the biggest rival companies of Mukesh Ambani-led Jio has now announced a new Vodafone Campus Survival Kit tailored mainly for the students taking new Voda connections in Delhi-NCR.

The new Vodafone Campus Survival Kit offers 1GB 3G or 4G data along with unlimited voice calls for 84 days, at a price of Rs 445. The company is also giving discount coupons for Ola, Zomato and others along with a  messenger bag free as part of the offer. However, this is only applicable on first recharge, for subsequent recharges  the same benefits will cost Rs 352.

"The survival kit is for Rs 445, it includes discount booklet from Ola, Zomato and others, valid for 84 days, post the expiration, 352 recharge will give them same benefits,"Vodafone India Delhi circle business head Alok Verma said in an email statement. The company is planning to roll out the scheme across the country in a phased manner. "This plan will be rolled out across India. However, the recharge value may differ from circle to circle," Vodafone India National Head for consumer marketing, Arvind Nevatia told PTI.

Vodafone is leaving no stone unturned to increase the size of its userbase. Amidst all the newly launched plans, most of the recharge offers are valid only for new users i.e. people taking new Voda connections. Before the Vodafone Campus Survival Kit, the company launched the new Rs 244 plan for its prepaid subscribers under which it is giving 1GB of 4G data per day for a period of 70 days. The plan is called First Recharge Coupon (FRC) 244 and is valid only for new subscribers.

Vodafone at present also offers free calls with limit of 1,200 minutes per week and 300 minutes per day along with a daily data of 1GB for 84 days at Rs 349 in Delhi-NCR but it is a limited period offer.

However, the subscribers of the Vodafone Campus Survival Kit can continue using data and calling benefits by recharging their account for Rs 352 which will be valid for 84 days.
