iPhone 8 to be the first iPhone ever to come with wireless and quick charging

Apple HomePod's firmware has revealed that the tenth anniversary iPhone 8 will be the first iPhone ever to come with quick charging and wireless charging. This has more or less confirmed several rumours floating around for weeks that iPhone 8 will feature the Qi wireless charging standard adopted by Samsung and several Android smartphone manufacturers.
The news was discovered by an diligent Reddit user who discovered mention of the two features in Apple's HomePod beta firmware. What gives the news further credence is the fact that Brazilian iOS developer Guilhermo Rambo found that the battery icon in iOS 11 will use a different icon in the iPhone 8 suggesting a different charging mechanism.
Yesterday, a few developers also found references to the bezel-less display and 3D face unlocking feature in the HomePod firmware. They found references to  term "BKFaceDetect" in which BK most probably stands for Biometric Kit. Apple is reportedly working on a system that allows users to log-in, launch secure applications and authenticate payments by scanning their face powered by a 3D sensor.
The iPhone 8 is expected to come with an  radical new bezel less design with an edge-to-edge OLED display. It will feature a glass back which is a necessity for the wireless charging feature to function. On the front, the iPhone 8 will have a 'notch' at the top like the Essential phone which will house the front camera and the sensors.
Additionally, the tenth anniversary iPhone is rumoured to come with an updated 3D touch module, improved cameras with AR features, IP68 waterproofing, a smart connector for accessories such as a VR headset, rear facing laser technology for AR apps and more. Whether the iPhone 8 will come with a fingerprint sensor embedded underneath the display is a mystery as of now with many analysts at odds about the issue
